OP 10 BEST NEW Upcoming Games 2022 & 2023 (4K 60FPS) © Post "What I liked and didn’t like about BZ" for game Subnautica. I was leaving notes lying where I found them, skimming through terminals, only listening to required quest holotapes, and basically trying to speed-run the main questline and any… The BETA really didn’t do this game justiceĪs I’m sure many others were doing, I used the BETA to try and cram as much of the game into the limited time frames as possible. In spite of all of these gripes, I wanna reiterate my first comment at the top: Buy it. At times, it felt more like an upgraded DLC packet than a standalone installment. The sequel story didn’t seem to tell us much that we didn’t already know from the first game. The first game had us discovering 4546b and the kharaa bacterium for the first time, discovering the story of the Architects and their failure to find a cure, and the planet’s own will to survive finding a way when hope seemed lost. I know story was in my good list too, but that’s because it had pros and cons. Although since the map was smaller, it was less noticeable.Ħ.) Story. After finishing the game, I had one ion crystal left.ĥ.) Not enough teleporters… made travel kinda long. I got by with four ion batteries for my four main tools, two ion power cells for my seatruck, two recyclotrons for my two bases, a tether tool for the teleportation module, and activating the one teleporter in that one place. Which is cool, but most of us probably aren’t gonna be on land as often as we’re in the water.ģ.) Needs more/new minerals, more/new plantable flora, more/new leviathans, Prawn suit needed more new attachments.Ĥ.) Not as many ion crystals as I would’ve liked. Instead, we got blizzards on land that make us freeze faster. Maybe the fish all run away for one night, making it harder to get food during the storm.
I would’ve liked to see some kind of bi-weekly event tied to 4546b’s lunar calendar that played havoc with the tides. Animals shouldn’t be the ONLY things that can threaten our bases. Some disappointments or things I’d hoped to see in a sequel and didn’t get:ġ.) I was really hoping that the first game would give us inclement weather, like hurricanes or tsunamis or seismic quakes, that threaten the integrity of our bases.
More focused.Ħ.) My waifu from the first game is back.

I liked that you could basically customize a vehicle anywhere between a seamoth and a full cyclops.ĥ.) Story focus: I know that the first game had a story (and a good one), but this one’s story was a little more upfront about itself. The tasty, tasty fishies.Ĥ.) The Seatruck. What can I say, I tried to save the fishies. You can finally build stairs on your land bases, big jumbo rooms to make your base feel more open.ģ.) Spicy Salad.
A man’s home is his castle, and even on an alien planet at the bottom of its freezing ocean, your castle has gotta be jumpin’. I wanted to get that upfront right away.Ģ.) The expanded base building additions. Here’s my brief and non-spoilery review of the game.ġ.) I liked it. I finished Subnautica Below Zero yesterday and have been formulating my thoughts on it.
